Brittany Brazzel EAD Curriculum Associate

Brittany joins iCivics as an EAD Curriculum Associate. She is an innovative content creator and dynamic educator who loves to find ingenious ways to develop lifelong learners. During her time as a high school social studies teacher, she worked diligently to design and teach curriculum that empowered students to think critically and honestly about history. Brittany was also a teacher leader who coached around culturally responsive practices, project-based learning, and DEI. Most recently, her work has been focused on antiracist education and professional development for educators and adult learners. 

Brittany believes deeply in the power of learning and hopes to continue playing a role in reimagining educational possibilities. She holds a B.A. in History and an M.Ed. in Secondary Teaching with an emphasis on alternative educational practices from Edgewood College. When not working, Brittany enjoys a great book, pop culture, and spending time with her family.
