MYSTERY
Historians make connections. In this lesson, students will be introduced to migration vocabulary as they learn about the migration patterns of animals they are familiar with and a few that may be new. Students connect these animals to the push and pull factors that cause them to migrate as they answer the mystery question: "Why do animals move to new homes?" Have students complete this lesson before moving into more inquiry in Lesson 2.
