Newly Upgraded DBQuest
February 01, 2018

We are excited to announce the launch of the newly updated DBQuest, a free online digital tool designed to teach history and civics through the use of primary source documents and evidence-based learning. DBQuest is designed to reinforce evidence-based reasoning and Document Based Questioning by teaching students to identify and evaluate evidence, contextualize information, and write sound supporting arguments. As part of a grant from the Library of Congress’ Teaching Primary Sources Program, the updated version features two new modules (The Nashville Sit-In Movement of 1960, America’s Founding Preambles); a guided and a new freeform mode; improved student reporting; and a shortened run-through time. Look out for two more modules -The Louisiana Purchase and the Constitutional Convention of 1787- coming soon!
