Are you wondering what to do with all of those hard earned points from iCivics games? Use them to empower and support young social entrepreneurs. Through iCivics’ Impact Projects, you can log on to icivics.org/impact and spend your points to cast your vote for a handful of projects that have been carefully selected by the Ashoka Youth Ventures Change Makers. At the end of each competition, the project with the most votes will receive a $1,000 donation from iCivics to continue their important work.

Impact Projects are released on a quarterly and sometimes biannual rotation.  Student projects range from a multitude of areas. Past projects have promoted some of the following ideas: improving the lives of the homeless; raising awareness about girls education globally; bringing STEM opportunities to communities in need; providing sustainable resources and environmental clean up groups to polluted areas; as well as, working with youth with disabilities.

So, get gaming! Once you’ve learned everything there is to know about civics through playing iCivics games, you’re all set to put your points to action.  You can turn that knowledge into civic action to inspire real world impact for a cause you care about.  Play. Donate. Repeat! You can donate more than once to one project. You can choose to donate all of your points to one project, or spread the wealth amongst to a few different causes.  And who knows? You may even be inspired to start a new project in your own community.
