Justice Sandra Day O'Connor Honored For Her Work in Civic Education

iCivics founder, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor was honored for her advocacy work for civic education, as well as her impact on female judges and justice for women and girls worldwide at the inaugural Seneca Women Global Leadership Forum on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.  The event was held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts with 300 distinguished guests in attendance.  The event included a panel discussion about women judges and the rule of law.  Executive Director Louise Dubé, board member President Robert Henry and advisory board member Julie O'Sullivan held a panel on iCivics and the impact and growth of iCivics since its inception in 2009.  U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan were also in attendance, with Justice Ginsburg delivering heartfelt, tribute remarks.
