Justice O’Connor made a splash in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this weekend at the 77^th annual conference of the National Association of Counties. The justice keynoted the opening session, speaking to more than 1,500 county officials from around the country about the importance of civic learning.

Justice O’Connor, while noting that she is an unlikely ambassador for technology, observed that now more than ever our world is connected through technology and iCivics harnesses it to reach and engage youth.

The justice also discussed the success of iCivics’ work with NACo to produce Counties Work (play now!). She also announced a new partnership: the development of County Solutions, iCivics' new curriculum unit designed to provide an in-depth civic engagement experience to students. County Solutions isn’t ready quite yet, but will be available this next school year, so stay tuned!
