Investing in Game Assessment

There's good news for developers looking to take their digital education materials, games and apps to the next level. GlassLab, a nonprofit comprised of learning scientists, software developers and assessment designers has made their assessment and analytic tools available for free to third party developers. The first small cohort including iCivics will participate in studies to provide evidence of student learning through their games and learning materials this fall. As iCivics Executive Director Louise Dubé stated, "In order for gaming to be taken seriously by educators, it needs to have an actual application for them in the classroom on a daily basis".
