Lenses Without Limits teaches photography to youth from low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds by providing free weekly classes and access to equipment which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. Through the lens, LWL students learn to see their environment in a new light and to use the camera as the creative brush to show us how they see the world. Our students leave empowered with better self-expression and group work skills, a new mode of artistic expression, and, hopefully, a new outlook on life. After all, life’s not necessarily about what you’re given, but rather how you choose to see it – a maxim we hope to impart on students for generations to come.
